Climbing Rocks in Pretty Dresses | Joshua Tree
Desert Wind | Joshua Tree
Joshua Tree always blows me away! The vast desert landscapes filled with stacked rocks and the cutest Joshua Trees really makes for a unique location. This particular trip to Joshua Tree, Darren & I had a 4-wheel drive car for the first time! So we took advantage of it, and explored unfamiliar territory! You can find links to what I am wearing at the end of this post - enjoy!
Freshly Picked
For those of you still looking for that *perfect* pair of shoes for Spring, look no further, I have found just the right pair - the Bali Heel Counter Sandal by Revere. They are just as comfortable as they are cute, and will pair well with all of your adventures under the sun! I already took mine on an adventure through my "neighborhood" with a basket full of flowers and warm light, and I fell in love with them.
A Pop of Red
One of my favorite styling tricks is adding a pop of color to an all black, white and grey outfit - and my go-to color is usually ruby red. I just love the flirty vibes red brings to any simple look. Here is a look inspired by this fashion trick, featuring GoJane and ZeroUV. You can find links to everything I am wearing in this shoot at the bottom of the post - enjoy!
All Red Everything
Here is an all-red-everything look that I had a really fun time putting together to inspire you to add a little red to your wardrobe this spring! I am seriously swooning over big ruffles and thin cat eye sunglasses, and have been since last summer. It seems like both of these trends are still blossoming and I cannot stop adding them to my shopping cart! You can find links to everything I am wearing at the end of this post - enjoy!
Give Me Space
Maui Diary
After much consideration on where to spend our honeymoon, we decided Maui would be the best for all of our honeymoon desires. We were looking for a place that was both relaxing and adventurous - and Maui is just that! We sipped cocktails by an infinity pool directly facing the sunset, watched the sunrise from atop a volcano, and hiked to see the many waterfalls and beaches around the island. I don't want to give away too much, so take a peek at my Maui Diary below!
We started off our adventure with a drive to see Makaluapuna Point, aka Dragon's Teeth, for an absolutely magical sunset! I don't think I could have matched the sky and reflected ocean any better than with that Smocking Dress by Pitusa.
Welcome to our Honeymoon Home #1, y'all - nestled in the rainforest of North Shore at the start of Hana Highway! We stayed here for a few nights, and really got that Hawaiian experience. There were geckos, fruit trees, and the most vibrant flowers surrounding the property. The location was also great because it was central to many places around Maui - including one of our favorite areas, Paia!
In the photos above & below, I am wearing the Solid Flare Top and Solid Flare Pant by Pitusa.
Yes, that loft is inside of the tiny home! How cool are those steps leading up to it? I loved hanging out at this dreamy spot wearing that Lilah Lace Robe by Show Me Your Mumu!
The flowers surrounding the tiny home property were just *gorgeous*. I couldn't help but capture them after an afternoon shower when the colors were so vibrant!
Once we left our tiny home on the North Shore, we headed east on Hana Highway for our Honeymoon Home #2 located right in Hana on a black sand beach. See below for the view from our balcony!
Black sand beaches are really something else, huh? The contrast of the black lava rock with the greenery and ocean blue tones were mesmerizing! I especially loved the mood as the storm clouds rolled in. My ivory top and mustard velvet pants from Flying Tomato really stood out in these images!
Sunshine, tan lines and black sand beaches are such a great combo! This particular honeymoon home was a favorite because you could hear the massive waves crashing onto the shore from bed. I mean, you can't really find a better sleep soundtrack than that, huh?
In the photo above, I am wearing the Scorpio Bodysuit by For Love and Lemons, Kimono by Flying Tomato, and Wide Brim Boater Hat by San Diego Hat Company.
We also enjoyed staying in Hana, because it put us right next to waterfalls and a red sand beach.
Although tough to swim in, the red sand beach was so beautiful. I mean, come on, how often do you come across a red sand beach?
Before leaving Hana, we wanted to stop and hike to see the Seven Sacred Pools and Waimoku Falls. Unfortunately, Seven Sacred Pools was closed for swimming this time around, but that was okay because we saved our energy for the hike to Waimoku Falls. If walking through a bamboo forest to reach a massive waterfall sounds like something you would be interested in, DO THIS HIKE! It was one of my most favorite hikes I have ever done - with the best waterfall reward in the end :)
Our Honeymoon Home #3 was a bed and breakfast located in Kula which is in the mountains at the base of Haleakala. We wanted to stay here so that the early morning sunrise drive wouldn't take so long, but we ended up LOVING the house we stayed at. The view from the balcony was unreal - you could see all of Maui. We wish we could have stayed here longer.
It was a bit colder in Kula compared to the rest of the island because of the elevation, so I was happy to have a sweater and pants by Flying Tomato that paired so well with my Loren Sunkissed shoes by 5yMedio.
The above photo was taken at Haleakala around 4:30AM - right as the sun was starting to peek above the horizon. It was so cold at the top, so for anyone who is planning to see a sunrise there: DRESS WARM! You are also required to reserve a parking spot at the top, so make sure to do that as well.
Among the shivers, was a sense of so much happiness - I truly felt like I was above the clouds. I was captivated by the many colors that filled the sky as the sun rose - literally 360 degrees of hue heaven. For anyone considering this early morning adventure, do it!
Our final Honeymoon Home #4 was the Wailea Beach Resort - Marriott. We wanted to end our trip on a relaxing note, and oh my we relaxed SO WELL! Cocktails by the infinity pool and short drives to the many scenic beaches in Wailea was the perfect finale. There's also some amazing snorkeling in Wailea - which I highly recommend doing early before the wind and crowds pick up!
There I am on our hotel balcony (above) and enjoying a nice sunset (below) wearing the Milano bikini from Khongboon Swimwear.
For all of you couples in search of the perfect honeymoon - make sure it involves an infinity pool! This one was so serene during sunset.
Here we are at the end of the diary, finishing it off with our final sunset before boarding our 10PM flight to LAX. We drove through a random neighborhood and somehow ended up at this beach to catch a stormy sunset while I was wearing a pale pink dress by Jealous Tomato.
I hope you enjoyed our 'mauimoon' diary! It was a memorable honeymoon, that's for sure :) Coming soon - wedding photos!
Falling For You
It's been a while since I've posted here -- but I'm happy to be back, sharing a shoot brought to you by Pitusa! I guess you can say I have been busy getting to know our new neighborhood ~ and I am beginning to fall in L O V E with our surroundings.
Even though I haven't been as active here on the blog, I have been creating more than ever. Inspiration is everywhere you look here on Pine Mountain - and Darren and I are always feeling that urge to get out, explore, and document our dreams by turning them into reality! As we explore we discover new places, and one of those places is the location here in this shoot.
A short 10-minute drive from our house takes you here, overlooking layers of mountains being backlit by the setting sun, and oh my is it dreamy! We can't stop going back ::)
I think I have found my new happy place - where I will go to wash all of those worries away and let my mind wander into those endless layers of mountains! Or just to enjoy a nice beer with my love! Ok, now enjoy the rest of the photos!
The End! Now keep your eyes peeled for new content, I wasn't joking when I said we've been out creating more than ever! ::)
Fire Walk with Me
Exploring unfamiliar places is when I am the most inspired. Seeing things for the first time and experiencing a little 'love at first sight,' keeps all of those creative juices flowing and pushes me to create magic! I've been holding off on telling you guys some exciting news, because we have been waiting to finalize everything, but it's almost to the point where I can tell you. So, for now I'll just say that Darren and I are moving into the mountains outside of LA! That's all for now (until it's FINAL!), but basically this drive right here will be in our 'backyard.' It's the first time we've done this drive through the mountains almost all the way to where it drops you off into the ocean, but our tank was running low so we couldn't make it all of the way haha! However, I was STUNNED by the beauty of this drive. Everywhere you turn there's an impressive view, lit by the perfect amount of sunlight. I was feelin' all the love that day - so I chose to wear my favorite color pink in that lovin' theme! I hope you enjoy what we created with all of these new sights.
I cannot wait to tell you guys more, but in order to not jinx it I'm going to stay quiet hehe! Peep the links to what I'm wearing below.
On the Rocks | Joshua Tree
Lena Bernard just released her new collection and I am so in love - her jewelry is a dream, y'all! The craftsmanship in every piece I have been lucky to own by her is just incredible. Each piece is truly a work of art and they add the best vibe to any look.
I am excited to release this shoot! I have been saving this post until Lena released her new collection. I hope you enjoy the imagery we created in Joshua Tree, while on the rocks, soaking in the best kind of golden light.
Sunset Salsa | Big Sur
Nothing quite beats a sunset on the coast, especially when that coastal sunset happens in Big Sur while you are wearing layers of the softest white fabric, shakin' and movin' and feelin' all of the best vibes! I seriously cannot get enough of this top & skirt by Pitusa (and their entire shop, actually). Watch as I fall in love with the way the fabric moves to the sun setting behind the horizon - creating the most gorgeous golden glow!
If you're looking for that perfect look to wear to your upcoming Spring beach trips, look no more! This outfit will have you feeling like your on vacation in no time, and will also be your best companion on the dance floor ::) Check out the links to what I am wearing below!
Walking on Mars | Valley of Fire
Red Silk | Death Valley
Sometimes all you need in life is a vintage red silk slip dress and the perfect Death Valley backdrops to dance the sunset away in. The following images were shot at both Artist's Palette and some epic mud cracks that we found while exploring.
I hope everyone enjoyed time with their families ~ I sure did! I'm also happy to get back into the swing of things and release a bunch of new content just in time for the holidays!

Death Valley Blues | Badwater Basin
Here is a set of images that we created for Fame and Partners at Badwater Basin in Death Valley, when opal hues filled the sky creating the most magical sunset.

Don't Look Down | Jiangxi, China
Here's a look into our adventure through Mount Longhu in Jiangxi, China!
Goblin Valley
Welcome to hoodooville, aka Goblin Valley - land of the most bizarre rock formations out there in Green River, Utah. We arrived right as the landscape was lit with that golden hour sun, and we wondered off into the park, admiring all of the unique hoodoos!
We definitely got lost a few times throughout our expedition, but that's because our sense of direction was completely throwm off as we wandered aimlessly, ha! It was impossible not to, because every direction we turned was the most mesmerizing view.
The sky graced us with a scenic sunset as we found the best point to view it from. This is the location we chose to set down our blanket, jam some tunes on our speaker, and crack open a brew (or two!). It was a dreamy one!
I felt more than alive.
And so did that sky.
Goblin Valley was even more extraordinary than I had imagined!

Blending In | Death Valley Superbloom
The superbloom in Death Valley was surely *super* and so was that matching silk silhouette by Few Moda.
Flowers coated the valley everywhere you looked - it was so beautiful!
I collected a few of the wildflowers to take home with me, because I have a sketch book at home that is full of pressed and dried flowers. This was the perfect opportunity to add a little Death Valley magic in there!
Those sea glass rings are a new favorite addition to my jewelry collection, and I just loved the way they paired with the yellow flowers.
Springtime is the best time to be in Death Valley - the vibrant flowers, perfect temperature, nice breeze, on top of the amazing-ness that is Death valley, is hard to beat!

Sunrise on the Dunes | Mesquite Sand Dunes
I woke up at 4:00am in Death Valley to see the sunrise over the Mesquite Sand Dunes, and it was all kinds of magic.
The vibrant color that filled the sky, the stillness throughout the desert, and the brisk, morning air all helped in providing that magic on these dreamy dunes. So, we decided to go on an expedition to find the *untouched* sand - and, sure enough, we found just what we were looking for!
'May every sunrise hold more promise, and every sunset hold more peace'
Seeing the sunrise from an enchanting location such as this always wakes me up inside. To have the ability to start off my day with something so fascinating, really sets a tone for the day. A tone of possibility, eagerness, and drive - like, yes, I can do anything in the world! ::)
I hope this post inspires you to see the sunrise from somewhere new! I'm going to end with a song I feel is perfect for this message, as it opens with the following lyric: 'We've got nothing but time, to do what we like, so let's live before we die.' Keep livin' y'all!

Go with the Flow | Zzyzx Rd
While road tripping to Vegas from LA, have you ever passed by the exit sign for Zzyzx road and wondered what in the world that is or how you say it? Maybe you stopped by the sign for a photo, but have you ever actually taken the road to see where it goes? Well, you should! Because the location in the photos above is where it will take you! It's such a secret gem that many people don't actually get to see - and it needs to be seen!
This is one of our many times to visit the area, but each time we visit it's a new experience due to weather and lighting. This time, we drove by mid-day so the light was heavy but caused for some great shadows and contrast - so I did what I couldn't resist to do - wear red. This is my dad's favorite color on me! ::) Everything I am wearing is listed below!
